I am quoting about 1900 14x24 colorcore plaques.
Here in the NW I was quoted 170 1/4 in thk sheets at 85 per.
usual price for 1 piece is 100,
doesn't seem like much of a break for such a quantity. makes me wonder what others are paying in their area.

Also ,try to find an adhesive to attach these [HDPE] to a concrete wall
the only "sure to work brand" came to 21,000$[not a typo] to do 1900 pcs!!

Adhesive price does seem a bit high. What is the "sure to work" product?
For that quantity you might want to contact King direct although it is a lot tougher to buy direct now then it used to be. Trouble is they are in Florida and it's a long freight bill to you. Still it's only one skid for 1/4" and if you know how to shop freight brokers you may come out better.

Research is your friend...I would get a *fresh* tube of 3M 5200 Marine Sealant and see if that will work for an adhesive. I've had luck with it in the past on HDPE, so it's worth a look on your end.

Dave, Brady
thanks for input

I talked with 3M and they were surprisingly vague, when I asked very directly about "gluing" hdpe to concrete. The customer service tech just read form a script and suggested about 5 products,
I was furiously jotting down part numbers until..............................

she actually said " spray 90" !!! I politely thanked her for her time and moved on.

then I called Lord, they were a bit more confident but pushed me off to a regional rep, who hasn't bothered to return my calls or emails. I guess they don't need a 10K+ order either.

the winner is Tam Tech, they are a smaller company and returned my call in 5 min,
I asked the "hdpe to concrete" the techs one word answer "Yes"
ad he said they would tweak formula for open/working times as needed
guess who will get the probably deal [after testing of course]

Brady,
thanks for the sealant idea, I will check it out.

Carl,
No problem. It's pretty aggressive & versatile stuff.

Having used the Lord stuff years ago for Kennmetal casino & slot machine surrounds, I can tell you it's good stuff.

However...it is SUPER toxic & unless you have good ventilation, you may turn to see Bugs Bunny standing next to you...

yea I know what you mean about that pesky rabbit!

these signs are in a weapons storage facility, 80 ft underground,
NO power tools, flame etc allowed. not sure what they have for ventilation.
I just fired off a suggestion to use Rowmark stock[abs]
if they approve that then we can get by with a const adhesive,
funny that the rowmark material will be about 22,000 vs 14,000
for the colorcore.
but adhesive cost will drop from about 21,000 to 2,000.
In this whole project my labor is the lowest line item of all!
