latest firmware

So I installed the latest firmware (stop laughing :o) and now I get limit switch warnings all the time. I am going to disable them I guess. I cant remember what version I had that worked. It wasn't broke and I fixed it ... Can anyone provide the version I should use?

I spoke with Mark D and he said he had the same issue with his machine after the update.

There are 2 types of limit switches used throughout the years:

PRTs used normally open switches, with black square body
PRSs use normally closed switches, round barrel shaped

Open up the VN fill in sheet & make sure Input #2 and #3 are of the correct type for your machine.

Are you referring to the control software, ie. 3.6.38 (or similar), or have you actually installed a later version of the firmware?

The firmware is only installed in the controller card and is "invisible". The control software operates the card and is what we see on the screen.

Firmware needs to match the control software, and needs to be installed from the control software to ensure that they match.

I updated the control software and updated the control box firmware to the latest when I connected to the bot. My switch types are setup correctly. The limit messages are intermittent.

This is a PRS. I want to go back to my prior control box version and get my limit switches back in a way where I don't have to keep hitting the continue button...

Can I revisit this topic with my own problem? (It's driving me crazy)

I have 3.6 and the program constantly quits on me if i hit the spacebar.

I never had that problem with 3.1. Someone said that I can not overwrite 3.6 with 3.1. Can I evict 3.6 and reinstall 3.1 with no problems?

Yes. But...be sure to load the firmware again for v3.1

Agree with Brady..
You can but you will most likely have to uninstall 3.6 using windows. Find the Shopbot.ini file and delete it. and maybe delete any remaining registry entries to make all good.

Then reinstall the firmware
