Hello Everyone...

I just wanted to drop a note and let everyone know that I have just got my website up and running. I am still trying to figure out the pictures. I can't get them small enough to open fast, and yet look good. If any of you have suggestions, please feel free to drop me a line or two I would appreciate all comments on my website.

Thanks Jay Mack

Wendell, That's the problem. A learning curve everytime you turn around! For what it's worth, from a Mkt. standpoint, we did the learning curve on getting good shots of our product on Photoshop, and it turns out to be worth the time and investment in spades! Then, We used Adobe Golive to do our web site. Another learning curve but we are happy with the result. One of the things we wanted was the ability to go in an easily change pages pictures and copy and Adobe Golive does this for us. Won't understate the learning curve on either Photoshop or on Golive but again... Worth it.

Thought I’d let everyone know I just added a Chat room to the Site if anyone is interested.

http://thesignsyndicate.com/forums

There are two rooms, Signage & CNC Talk

Sign up for free account and go to “Live Chat”

I kinda put the word out for group meetings 9-10PM EST or 6-7PM PST daily, otherwise it’s random all day anytime. PM Function is up to.

If it’s useful and used I’ll upgrade to a newer prettier version with a ton more functions, if not I’ll let it sink like the Titanic

For those inclined let me know what you think and if you find an error or other problem. I know it's not pretty yet with lots of pictures and art work and the left bar is not filled in... but it's been a challenge putting it together.

On the bright side, Dreamweaver does a great job and I'm getting faster with it.

Timothy, your site is nothing to be ashamed of, it looks good. The secret is to get a format you like and keep adding content. In my case the page that you see with the frames and menu has no content whatsoever. All the content resides in plain pages that are pulled into the index file. I have one menu to maintain and I can change the look of the entire site in just a few minutes without editing all the content pages.

hmmm... you know... I feel a new section might just hit the shopbotwiki ... a little self help in the web site department under Business and Marketing... dang I wish I had more time...

I'm envious of both of you guys. Great starts. There are so many ways to get a site up from Front Page and/or Dreamweaver to all of the host and non host offered templates out there it is a bit boggling on how to proceed from step one with the goals of expandibility, clarity, ease of use, and all tha other good stuff thrown in all while making sure it looks professional and at least somewhat unique.

We have been manufacturing electric signs for 30 years. we have been mostly retail over the years. about 5 years ago we also went wholesale to the trade too. so don't turn away those illuminated channel letters or box & pole signs. let us manufacture it and handle all of the installation details. local permits and all. refer the job to us for a commision or just sub the job to us. we are lightyears ahead of others in this field. call tony rogers 317 297-7503

Kludged together in Weebly Pro which is decent, but you get what you
