My talented granddaughter has auditioned and been accepted as the newest member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The choir is broadcast every Sunday morning on the "Music and The Spoken Word" program.

In honor of this event, I carved this plaque for her. The photo is probably not good enough to show the textured background which is an image of the Tabernacle Organ and the Choir.

I created it using Aspire. The wood is a 9 X 12 Cherry board from "Michaels". The finish is one coat of Tung oil. The white letters were painted with white finger nail polish (which I will never use again). The gold letters were painted with Gold tone paint from Walmart.

Carving was done with a 1/32 nose radius carving bit from CarveWright.

Front and Back views are shown.

I was in your local area recently GDK. (Just south in SLC)

I had the pleasure of helping on of our customers with a big display they were constructing... spent a few nights downtown. Had they not worked me so hard, I would have loved to see more of the area around Salt Lake. It seems a very nice area. I am sure you enjoy it.

Keep doing great things with the Bot and congrats on the grandaughter with the golden notes!
