Pineapple post

This is the top section of some newel posts. It's not my customer , just wondered if I could do it.
Turning is 7.5" dia x 24.5" high. About 11 hours , last 9.5 hours with a tapered 1/8" ball nose.

looks yummy can you cut me off a slice? How many toolpaths? Was the center cut independant of the top and bottom? Very nice.

Four toolpaths , turn blank to round , Z level roughing , relief cut with 1/2" round nose and relief cut with 1/8" tapered round nose. About 11 hours.
The whole thing was cut as one model. I might have save a little time if I turned the turned parts but there may be a problem getting everything in the right place.
