router fan stop and i do not know where to start wires look ok used air and the fan moves can any one give me a tell me whats going on

If this is on an HSD spindle, check to make sure fan is getting 24v. You can look for the 2-conductor gray jacketed wire pair and make sure it is getting 24v from the power supply. Check it right there at the power supply.

If you have a Colombo, you will have to check it inside the VFD or pull the fan itself. Depending on supply voltage, the fan can either be 24v or 230v.

I had a similar problem where the fan would experience "stiction" (look it up) where the fan won't start running on its own, but would run all day once I gave it a slight push to get it started. Not a huge problem except on the days I would run the machine for a few hours before remembering or noticing that the fan wasn't running. I guess the ultimate solution is to replace the fan but putting some kind of reminder at the beginning of every file, like "Check the fan and press Enter to continue..." would be an option.
