Now that we have partworks 3D, students are wanting to cut more 3d than v-carvings. I have only found two major suppliers of 3d files on line (VectorArt and Vector Clip). Does anyone know of other sites with ready to purchase files? We are completing a grandfater clock currently and looking for a better rosett for the top center of the clock than either of these suppliers have. Any suggestions?

Ernie, there are several companies that supply free and for-fee 3D models. If you do a google search of 3D models, 3D carvings, CNC models, etc. you should get several hits.

www.cnc4free.org

www.3dmodelclub.com

www.turbosquid.com

These are just a few. Many more out there. I'm getting the same requests from the students where I volunteer time to help the shop teacher at the local high school woodshop. They got a Shopbot and really want to do some cool things on it.
