I run a shop bot under mach 3 , can e cabs still work and is there any hidden costs? I now use cabinet planner and cabinets parts pro to design and cut. I would like to stream line the opperation to design and cut in one program . Thank You Dan and Bridget Nelson

eCabinets has a long steep learning curve but once you climb the mountain it is a pretty darn good program and getting better all the time. With that said, to take your work from eCabinets to the Shopbot, you will need the ShopBot Link software and dongle. This has a cost to it. You will have to go to the Thermwood website to find out what the latest price is. You can run the Link program but until you have the dongle you cannot do any cutting on the CNC.

The Link also has a learning curve but it is a pretty good piece of software and works well.

I have not used the other programs you mention so I can't say eCabinets is better or worse. I've been using it for almost 3 years now and can say it does what I need to get cabinets cut for customers. I also do other types of furniture (entertainment centers, book/display systems, etc.) with the software.
