I have a customer that is purchasing a type of MDF or hardboard with 1/8" foam adhered to it. The MDF really appears to be closer to cardboard than MDF.

Anyone have any ideas where in the world I can purchase something like this? I also have no idea what type of cutter to use on a combo material like this.

Any help would be appreciated :D

Thanks,
Troy

Can you not purchase it from your customer or from his vendor?

My customer is buying it from a competitor and they won't sell sheets to her direct.

Sounds like Gatorfoam to me... how thick is the hardboard?

I'll have a very small sample of it later today. I'll snap a pic and post it along with exact dim's

Did your customer happen to mention it's primary use? What are they using it for? Answering these questions may lead to some search terms which could help you track it down online.

It is used as the substrate for building window valances and head knockers.

Yep, pressed cardboard with a foam header. Otherwise known as headliner panel for cars. No idea on where to get just a plain sheet of it, though..

That's what i found myself, car headliner. I did find a few sites that offered custom fabrication of products like this. None of which i would recomend.
