I see there have been some examples of rotary work posted on the forum that are not actually done on a shopbot, so I thought I would post this one.

Modelled in Aspire. Toolpaths wrapped with CNCWrapper. (gcode sorry)

Greg,
that is very cool. This "CNCWrapper" is that the same program as "Wrapper" by Andrew Emmans?
The shopbot has the ability to run/translate gcode.
Tell me about your toolpathing process. Were the center flutes a seperate toolpath or was this all done in a carving toolpath?
I guess you modeled it in this program but does this cncwrapper generate the toolpaths? Or do you generate the toolpaths in your program and cncwrapper converts them?
How long did it take to cut?
Very nice.

Yes one and the same. Version 2 Does just what version 1 did, but quicker.

Toolpaths in Aspire. CNCWrapper just scales and converts the code to wrap it around the rotary axis.
