A small thing, but maybe worth mentioning...

I find the small thumbscrew a PITA to get my fingers in behind to tighten and loosen each time I want to change the height.

Today I replaced the thumbscrew with a 1/4"-20 cap head machine screw. Now I can use a ball end Allen wrench to easily loosen and tighten the bolt and it works really well.

A very small thing, but I am sure it will save much grief. :)

I did basically the same thing, except I also drilled a series of shallow holes in the Aluminum shaft (which holds the dust foot). This allows the screw to get a better bite and not vibrate loose.
