You're welcome. I'm proud of you for taking the time for your Nanny. I know your loving gift to her was appreciated.
You may be the only fellow who has used this little technique. The only reason I post them is, by chance, they will be of use to someone.
You made my day.

Joe, I have used a lot of them, everything except your special gift for paint! :) I'm working on it but boy do I hate ta' paint! :D Russ

You remind me of the kids during my teaching years. At first when I'd give them an assignment I'd hear lots of groans and complaints. The most used comment was "I can't draw anything". Before the year was out, all of them would tackle anything. They were fledging artists. That was a great feeling for both of us. My secret weapon was confidence. Success breads success. It works everytime. I gotta tell you, after looking at your work you have tons of talent. More than would ever be needed with this craft. Silly insecurity will put the brakes on every time.

Hi Rick,
I love the quality of the carve. Nice detail. Question...the tutorial from Joe you mentioned...is that posted somewhere here on the forum?

I used the search engine to find the particular thread that you were looking for ( I typed in "Joe Crumley" and a variety of his posts came up for me to choose from). Then I went to the thread I wanted, highlighted the URL, hit "control-C"and when I navigated back to your posting, I typed in "control-V" and Voila!!!
