I'm very new to this and I want a Vacuum Pump and Table to hold a 12" x 12" 1/4" thick piece of plywood. Can someone direct me to the bang for my buck. I dont know how big of a pump I need or what is the best pump etc. For what I want to make old clamping methods will not hold it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome. Tell us what you are planning to cut that piece of plywood into. If you are just carving into the surface without going all the way through that's one thing. If you plan to cut all the way through that's another. If you plan to cut all the way through, and cut that 12 x 12 into a lot of very small pieces, that's another answer entirely.
