Hey - if we ShopBotters just called ourselves podiatrists, we could rake in the dough!
"One reason why it may cost upwards of $16,000 for one pair of shoes is because the equipment used to make laser scans isn't set up for someone as big as him."
Really?
Step one - make a two piece cast of giant feet.
Step two - separate and send to Brady for laser scanning, then assemble halves into positive 3d model.
Step three - cut positive feet from suitable material
Step four - send feet to custom shoe maker.
Step five - rake in dough.
Or.......some enterprising company who wants some incredible national exposure in a follow up article could call this reporter and the tall guy up and make a deal!
