In assembling my PRS Standard 96-48-6 frame I'm noticing a discrepancy between the CAD drawing and the actual pictures I've seen.
Area in question is circled red in both images. The CAD drawing shows the end of the extrusion flush with the end of a table leg. Concern is the v roller on the x carriage gets really close to the extrusion end. In the 3D rendering you can see an offset between the extrusion end and table leg (maybe 6"). Which one is correct? I've been going by the CAD drawing

-The v roller and x track is on the outside of the extrusion and the leg is on the inside. Therefore there is no interference between them possible. The stop blocks prevent the gantry from accidently going off the end of the table.

I have an older PRT that doesn't have the option i describe but when looking for a used machine I asked the same question. You can actually slide the rails forward or back depending on how you want to set up a PRS or the later models of the PRT. Move the rails towards the X- direction to offset the gantry off of the end of the table. Move it more towards the X+ direction in order to cut up to the end of the table. Two reasons you might want to cut off of the end. First might be an indexer. Second, milling on the end of shorter and/or on the edge of wider material that you want to mount length or width vertically depending on the jig. As Dave mentioned, the rails and rack are on the outside of the machine so would be clear of any obstructions.

You should go by the CAD drawings. We had missed updating that image in ShopBot Docs after the table changes...I've updated it and it now shows the correct table setup.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks. This may be painful but you might want to update all the pics through out the assembly instructions that show the extrusions not flush with the coordinate X=0 frame legs.
