Got tired of getting all kinds of chips and dust on the laptop I use to control the Shopbot. Designed and made a Shopbot Buddy Articulated Laptop Mount.
Now the laptop is protected and I can move it where I need it. I hope this idea can be useful to Buddy users out there.

Too cool. I like it a lot. I use a laptop also. Good way to keep some of the dust out of it. It looks well thought out. I want to make one.

Thanks,

Bob

Looks nice.
Is it mounted on the inside of the rails? If so does it interfer with setting up?
I made a mount for mine a few weeks back http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14971.
Now I wish it could swing,

You might want to consider an air vent on the bottom, just under your fan intake, to help with cooling.

I've been thinking about what I'm going to make to hold my laptop, as well.
I have two out there, one that I run software on and one just for the shopbot. The one on my bench is too busy to tie up running parts.
I'm going to come up with something this afternoon.
I can't end mount it, I don't want to make the machine wider. I'd thought or an articulating arm, but I'm not quite feeling that, either. I need to just jump into it. :)
