I looked for a thread on here but I am trying to figure out the dust collection grounding theory? I found a article that had a lot of myths about grounding techniques, but am still unsure of the best way to go about this. I assume it has to do with charge building on the edge of an insulator and the risk of static... but is it okay to just use dryer hose. The metal foil kind? I just cannot justify the expense of overprices "dust collection" hose. If there is already a post in here just direct me to that. Thanks.

May I direct you to the "Search" buttons on this page - one at the top, and one at the bottom. Just enter "dust ground" for a start......

Hi Greg,

I have been using the foil type dryer hose and works just fine. I was worried that I would be poking holes in it but so far, after 7 months, it has been without any problems.
