I have been getting alot of emails wanting in on next years camp. I know, its crazy, but it is what it is. Our event is to be published soon in a national sign industry magazine about this past camp, with pictures. I think once this goes out to hundreds of sign shops, the workshop for next year will be full within weeks of distribution. So some know that and want to reserve a space now.

We are only taking 35 students. With Joe Crumley (yes, the Joe Crumley), Jamie and Jody Oxenham, Melissa and Jason Jones and Don Kearschner( Routnabout) and myself, that will be 42 people deb will be feeding. That is the maximum number.

Camp is schedualed for May 31 - June 2nd 2013. With the vectric training day May 30 as a (100.00) option for vectric beginners .

Here is how it will go as of now _ there will be 3 groups. group "awesome", group "brilliant", and group "way to cool". 12 in each group.

Each group will spend the full day with one instructor(s). Then rotate the next day to a different instructor.
A full day with Joe Crumley (that alone is worth more than the cost),
one full day with Jamie and Jody Oxenham ( they are a hoot) oxenhamdesign.com
one full day with Melissa and Jason Jones. nicecarvings.com

sessions will go from 9am to 1
lunch 1-2
then 2 - 6pm
dinner 6-7
7pm will be guest speakers on friday and saturday. 7 to 8 pm, then free work time 8 to whenever.
long days of instruction from the best in the world.

Cost will include a 12x24" sign designed by Jamie Oxenham. So you will get a sign that will be something you'll have for a very long time. Also, you will get a sign file designed by Jason and Melissa Jones that will be workshop related that you can cut and finish when you get home. They may choose to finish one of those here so you can see how they do it. Their curriculum is up to them.

My camps/workshops focus on, and promote Vectric, so have your laptop with aspire or vcarve loaded ( i think it is called partworks when you get your bot. I bought my bot used with no software.) For those of you with artcam or enroute, you'll follow along with no problem, but you could load the free trial version of aspire. I use a 2001 prt with the 4g upgrade to cut everything.

Price will be 399.00 for the 3 day workshop and includes all supplies. Brushes, sample pieces, paints etc will be beefed way up this time, along with many more tables. Lunch and dinner on me all 3 days.

Reservations require a deposit of 50% and refundabe until may 1st, 2013.

Now please email me questions at Robert2280@att.net (Robert2280@att.net).
I accept paypal. Discounts for couples are given.
Once 35 deposits are paid, it will be full.

thank you

Hi Robert,
Still looking for a workshop or bot camp close enough to be a reasonable drive.............will have to google you location to see what it works out to drive wise. Might even take the camper and do a little camping out on the trip to save hotel bills. Just getting ready to bite teh bullet and get the 4G upgrade for the PRT and I am itching to upgrade to ASPIRE so gotta save money where I can :-)

cheers

come on over kurt, it will be a great time.

notice - DAN SAWATSKY will be here in 2013 as an instructor.
One of the best sign makers in the entire world! Come meet Dan and learn from him.

also - PETER POANESSA, owner of www.signworx.com (http://www.signworx.com) will be here.
multi-time national award winning sign maker.

also - JAMIE OXENHAM, owner of www.oxenhamdesign (http://www.oxenhamdesign)
absolute genious modeler and fabricator. He and his awesome wife Jody are fantastic finishers. They teach their finishing methods here.

also DON KEARSCHNER long time shopbotter and vectric beta tester. Many of you know Don, one of the real good guys on the forum.

i was looking at the vectric newsletter about their user group meeting, looking at the pics, and there were a few signs on it i cut here for my last workshop on my trusty old 2001 prt -4g.
i bet the folks never thought about those signs being cut on a 11 year old machine, but they were.
thanks

i think i can get dan and peter to do so in the near future, but you know jamie! just kidding, sort of! http://www.vectric.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
seriously, i will be asking them all to have a layout by christmas. i never tell them what to cover, and i can see both sides of that. but, i respect them so much i trust they will want to share what they feel could best benefit people like me, someone wanting to improve on all aspects..
thanks for asking

Change of plans as far as travel. I'm gonna be flying in from Philadelphia . Getting ready to make my reservations soon. Any Botters going that may wanna split the cost of a rental car from the airport and the rest of the stay? I am totally open to the days of attendance. I was planning to do the Monument sign, but can go any direction. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Finished the 3DSign Camp last weekend, what a great time.
I did the 5 day. Started with Rob Jones and Gary Johnson...seeing and doing, cement tree, Peachtree monument, adhesives and reactive paints.
Day 3 Dan Sawatzky...What can't this guy do! Carpe deim & Magic
Day 4 Sandy Baird, Jamie and Jody Oxenham, Extira
Day 5 Peter Poenessa dibond
Kelly from Coastal, Rep/Instructor
50 Students from working shops to start ups to thinking about it.
The ShopBot and Aspire users, as well as everybody else there shared all kinds of information that will keep me busy for a long time.
Thanks to all
