I bought one of these drills, have it installed on the second Z axis. Then I went to wire it up. OPPS! didn't see the 4 prong round AC plug.:eek: I went back and triple checked the unit, it is a 120v unit, but with 4 wires. I am stumped.

Can someone tell me how to convert this to a regular 120v plug.

PLEASE.....

Umm...Milwaukee dealer. It makes no sense to hack it all up when they probably have the correct twist lock cord or leader for it.

I think that something like this may be what your looking for.

Jimmy,
It looks like that drill plugs into a base that has speed control and direction switches built into it. That is why it has 4 wires. I am guessing that you don't have the base. I don't think this is designed for stand-alone use, only with the magnetic base. I made mine from a standard Milwaukee hole shooter drill(302-20).

I would look at the information given if you Google "Wiring a Universal Motor".

Thank you for your help. Everyone!:D:D

Google "Wiring a Universal Motor". Had the answer, but I had to series the field and armatue wires to get it right.

If anyone else has a problem with one of these PLEASE let me know, I will gladly forward pictures.
