This was a strange one they wanted a butt joint with some waves in it. Of course the wood was different thickness and width. at first they wanted me to line up the maple with the live edge (that was going to be a real pain) but before I got going they changed their mind and both straight edges would align up. So I had to figure a jig to hold it and then draw out the cuts then hold down the wood that was somewhat twisted. Also there were three sets of boards and all three needed different edges. the maple was the same but the walnut varied.
I tacked down the boards down on the ends then clamped them in place. I did a test cut on mdf for each board to make sure the bit got everywhere and adjusted as needed. took me a bit over 3 hours to do all three sets. More for the time to setup and test and clamp and draw it all out.
