Hi,
I'm looking for help to properly position and install coil return springs on my Z axis.
I just received a set of replacement pinions for my 6 year old PRT 48x96. At ShopBot's advice, I also ordered and received the coil spring upgrade to replace the flat constant force spring on my Z-axis.
I think I see where the springs will get attached, and if I'm right, it will require drilling a few holes.
But, I'd like to be sure before I drill. If someone who has installed the coil spring upgrade, or has a machine with them already installed, could help me with a few pictures showing the top and bottom install points, it would be appreciated.
I have a router, but think the springs for a spindle would attach the same way, just be a different size.
You can post the pictures here or email them to me at tmerrillATmchsiDOTcom, whatever is easier for you.
My original manual only shows the constant force spring and ShopBot indicated they did not have any specific installation documentation available.
Thanks,
Tim
