I lost one of my X drives three years ago and used my spare drive A to fix it. This week I lost my Y drive. It was looking to be a big problem because they don’t make my board anymore and I have no funds to upgrade right now. Thanks to Ron Sloan’s post on how to search using Google.
I found a post from Scott Smith (and emailing support) that helped me find the solution. Four 30 cent voltage suppressors plus soldering them in.
Thank you all.

Her is the email from support
The suppressors are not strictly necessary for operation, so you can test this by removing one of them from the problem channel (Y axis) before you order parts. Just cut it free from the board, then turn the box back on and try moving the axis again. I don't recommend running it without the suppressor for long, but it is okay for a few minutes of testing. If this solves the problem, you may be able to source one at Radioshack. Otherwise, digikey.com will have them, just type the part number into their search bar and it should come up. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Gene I cut both suppressors on the two problem axis before testing them.
