when C3 command is given spindle head rises on the z axis once the prox switch goes off the spindle continues to go upward resulting in a bind and the driver fault #4blinks red.The spindle continues going up instead of coming down and then back up slowly until the switch goes off and then returns slowly back down.

Yes I understand that however after pressing the c3 command the machine(spindle )is rising until the prox switch is activated and then it does not return down slowly. My spindle is not stopping and going back down at a slower speed and then it goes on to tag the X Y prox swithches
It is possible that the spindle goes to a safe position to zero x,y however when it goes up and activates a driver fauld #4

before you do the c3 what is the z height at. the only time I had a problem is when the z was at a negative number or zero when it was 5 inches above the table from cutting a file that was zeroed to the top of some thich material.
