We had a very successful first ShopBot Camp at the Hogar Rafael Ayau orphanage in Guatemala City On August 10-11. 35 attendees seemed like a good number. It lasted two days with presentations from Chris Burns and Santiago Laverde of ShopBot. Sarah Burns (Chris's daughter) and Astrid Cariillo (a resident of the orphanage) and Director of the San Miguel Woodworking Academy. The orphanage should move in late fall to the new facilities. Axel Paredes presented a session on the new digital lab at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin university in Guatemala City. Jose Moran, the Guatemala distributor of Onsrud and Amana tools gave a presentation on speeds and chips.

We are planning on another ShopBot Camp next Spring and will provide information on this forum.

We took advantage of the new annual maintenance review offered by ShopBot that tweaked our machine to purr like a Lion King.

Thanks Ted and ShopBot for all the support.
