or does it have to be a super O. I have a local sign shop that just needs an oval cut and they need it today. I don't have time to order one up. Thanks in advance, Kurt

Yes. Try a small cutout using climb and conventional. See which looks better. A 2-flute is fine because it will give you more chip clearance than a 4-flute. You can also use a 2-flute straight. Do test cuts and see which is better...

Yes I cut it with a 2 flute straight end mill when I don't have the single flute. a 2 flute upcut will also work

You can cut anything with any thing... you just have to adjust your feeds and speeds. For a one time cut, I would think you could make do! I'd cut the oval plenty oversize while I was searching for a feed and speed that was acceptable... unless of you have scrap to play with. The thing about "O" bits is that they make a chip that curls into a ball and is easily ejected from the kerf. Try using compressed air to keep the cut clean and prevent re-welding.
