I have a customer who wants a set of Queen Anne Dining table Legs made from poplar. Anyone know of a source or want to make a set?

I can find them from Maple, Ash and Oak, but no poplar.

Poplar is usually used as a paint grade. If your client will be painting them, get the maple legs and they will paint the same as poplar.
Sometimes, what customers want to do with the product is a more important question than what they say they want.

This customer has made a poplar table (why they chose that material I ?). He intends to stain and he wants legs to match.

Not something I wanted to take on, but said I'd ask around.

Jack,

Looked at osborne and a couple other places I've dealt with, and none I've checked do it in poplar - Like David says, it wouldn't be my choice of material.

If you really cannot find them anywhere else I can certainly make you a set. But I'm in Canada, and I would need to know the dimensions, and what you need them made for (cost).

JFYI I will be away as of Wednesday morning, out of email/cell/etc coverage camping in the Canadian woods! :)

Adams Wood Products shows a paint grade leg. You might contact them.

Ken - Here is another source. They didn't lists poplar either, but I am pretty sure that they would do it for you. They are pretty flexible.
