Joe, I think the 75182 is what comes with the Shopbot (no handles/base) and the 7518 is the same unit but comes with those hand holding features.

Steve was faster (chuckle).

obviously you don't need the base or handles, ect so pay the cheaper price.

Joe...
There may some confusion here:

"#12016) Porter Cable Model 75182; PRICE $385.00"

The PC #75182 is one part of the ShopBot Part #12016, which includes the router, mount ring, mount plate adapter ring and ground screw, (possibly others). There doesnt seem to be a part number online for "router only". These are intended to be option prices that are added on to a base tool price and just like the spindles, include a number of required additional parts.

This make far more sense!! I just needed a little help :) I refused to believe that SB was tacking nearly a hun on it. Clearly the site needs to add some addl info for the lurkers hunting for replacements.

Re: "This make far more sense!! "
Joe, I don't think that any of the first respondents were looking at the price point in your question first and foremost. They/we were simply trying to offer a simple and accurate "help him now" answer on the difference between the two part numbers you requested, with no ulterior motives. Did I/we leave some other unintended impression? Sorry if you took it that unintended way.

Actually, every one helped. When I said it makes more sense what I meant was it made more sense to me than SB just charging 100 dollars more than elsewhere, rather than more sense than the previous posts. :)
Hope this clears up any questions.Sorry I didn't communicate well.
