Hi Everyone. Has any botters installed a Super Pid speed control for routers?

What a fantastic gadget Glen. It certainly ticks a lot of boxes and very cheap at $155 and it is also in 240 volt. Had no idea it existed!

The Utube videos dont really demonstrate the noise as they auto adjust the levels however below is an EXCELLENT installation video of fitting it to a twin router Shopbot and it even shows you how to build a plexiglass enclosure even giving pics of the extra bits you need.

It was put up by helicopterjohn.com in case he's not a member here. This is what he says -
"This is a video that describes the installation of a Super PID CNC Router Speed Controller on a ShopBot PRT 48 X 96 CNC Router. This unit allows lower RPM's for your Router (i.e. 5K). That is good news for those of us that need to machine acrylic at lower RPM's to keep the material from melting during machining operations. This unit provides constant RPM's with good torque at all RPM ranges."
One does tend to feel a bit humble and insignificant looking at Johns site as his metal CNC stuff is just brilliant. Fitting Mach 3 video was interesting - 30 mins.
