Is partworks available for Mac?

No, but a lot of people are using it with Parallels and Bootcamp.

PartWorks is the same program as VCarve so if you search on the vectric forum (http://www.vectric.com/forum) you'll find lots of posts about running on Macs.

Personally I'd go for bootcamp as you're running Windows natively then. Hardware wise there's no difference between a good PC and a Mac these days. It's all about the OS.

I have Partworks on my MacBook Pro. I was going to use Parallel but I ended up just using Macs program. I'm running Windows Pro 7 and it has worked so well I stuck with it. The only downside is you need to reboot and hold down the alt/option key as it boots up, or it will reload back on the Mac side.
