USB not conectting

Hi,

I'm trying to hook my PRSAlpha up to a new control computer but it's not able to find the USB connection.

I'm running windows 7 and when I check the device manager the shopbot is showing up under "Other Devices" as V204Shopbot

Any advice?

When you installed the control software on the new PC did you install the usb drives when it asked you to as I one the final steps?

Along with the "V204 ShopBot..." there also needs to be a virtual com port shown in the device manager, usually as "ShopBot Controller COM (#)". Try following the steps in the attached doc below:

we received the USB controller card, our old serial to usb card died on us............. when we received the new USB to USB card, there were NO instructions as to how to get the drivers for the card.......... i searched the internet and found your entry WITH ! THE PDF INSTRUCTIONS ! You don't know just how much of a rescuer you were to us ! THANKS GARY C ! I don't own a shopbot but i computer support a shop that does has one.
