I'm a ShopBot Desktop owner from Switzerland and I have a lot of fun with this "little" machine.

A 4-Player-Quiz-System

For the electronics inside I used a Teensyduino (http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/teensyduino.html)so the little box can communicate with a computer through USB. I'm still working on the Quiz software that runs on the computer. (more pics (https://secure.flickr.com/photos/ws137/sets/72157630095876134/))

as you can see, they are all in no way nerdy projects... :-)
