Hi everybody
I own a ShopBot Desktop with the "Porter Cable 2-1/4HP Router" (not the industrial spindle). Everything works fine. Since I live in Switzerland though I was wondering if there are any metric collets that are compatible with that router. I would make finding bits a lot easier.
Does anybody have any experience?
Thanks!

When someone gave me some 8mm router bits I bought an 8mm to 1/2" adapter similar to this that seems to work ok.

I believe that Precise Bits <precisebits.com> offer high precision and ultra high precision 8mm collets & collet nuts for some of the PC routers. Their product is highly regarded and improves the TIR rating for routers allowing you to use smaller diameter bits without breaking them so easily.

I absolutely and without reservation recommend you do not use a sleeve or adapter with a CNC collet, I came real close to getting seriously hurt as a result of my attempting this, also there are some Quick change collets made for the pc routers, they are manufactured here in sc and sold in Europe only,, these are not for a cnc,
