Is there an easy way to create a rectangle say 4 inches by 6 inches and then select only the 4 inch sides.

I am creating a mitred bend on a piece of wood but I can't figure out how to select just the two sides to run the 90 degree bit on. Can't ungroup it. Hope this makes sense.

Create the rectangle, then use the Node Edit tool and select the rectangle's 6" sides, delete these two line segments. Hit esc till you get back to normal cursor, then select the remaining lines (4") and use a profile toolpath choosing, machine 'ON' vectors.

Draw your box one line at a time then you can select any
side or the two opposite sides

I find it easy to create the rectangle, go to node edit mode, right click on each corner and select "cut vector". I use this method all the time to isolate a side or segment of a vector. If there isn't a corner or point where you need it just right click with the cursor where you want the point and select "insert point". Then you can right click on that point and select "cut vector".
