I've never seen this before but yesterday when cutting out a round circle in .75 plywood only taking a .25 depth cut at 1.8 ips when both axis are moving at the same time to create the arc of the circle (X moving down and Y moving across) the machine would slow down to a crawl and act like it almost wouldn't get thru the cut.

The router didn't slow down so it wasn't bogging the router down and it was a slow speed to be running. Also i noticed that i couldn't manually increase the speed on the control software. I mean i could run it up but it did not make the machine go faster.

going in a straight line in X or Y didn't seem to be a problem. I don't think that the motors are wore out because that machine has not gotten that much use on it even though it is 6 yrs old. Probably less then 1000 hours?

Are you sure it was an arc and not segments

yes it was an arc and it started out fast and slowed down dramatically when it started out around itds first arc of the circle then it would speed up then slow down.
I know what you mean about segments and it would go slow through the whole thing if it was made up of segments.

Either one of the VR values is not what it should be or VU: Small Circle Def (OBS) or Circle Resolution is off. Best bet is to do a US first, then a UR and reset the settings you have to default. This is a case where a little knowledge is worse than no knowledge when it comes to certain settings, so be advised.
