I did a search and found some different types of remote control switches.
What i want is to be able to plug a light into this switch that is a timer to turn the light off and on in this catbox but i would also like it to have a remote control so that if i look out and see that he's not in there i could override the timer and just shut the light off and wondered if anyone had any experience with something like that or if i should just pick one of the ones i found on amazon.

Jack we use this gadget.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireless-4-Channel-Light-ON-OFF-220V-240V-Remote-Control-Switch-Transmitter-Box-/270853632070?pt=AU_Lighting_Fans&hash=item3f10227046&_uhb=1#ht_3428wt_940
It has a nice pocket size remote and works through walls. We use it to turn the dust collector on and off and the air compressor in the same room which is outside the shop. One channel is normally closed. The gadget doesnt get confused in blackouts like some do.
I have these

Got them at sams club for like $45
They are not timed, but remote control & wirless

Ron.. good link i like "gadgets". One of my next "projects is i'm going to take one of those big 1-2 gallon pickle jars turn it upside down and mount it to a board and stick one of my wireless security cameras in it and place it under the deck to watch all the wildlife.
In one night i saw 3 racoons, a groundhog, possum, and skunk visit my garbage cans (not all at the same time). I opened the door to try to get a picture of the skunk for the grandkids and he turned and raised his tail and was getting ready to spray so i shut the door real quick!
