There is probably a very easy way to find the answer to my question but I don't know where to look so here goes.
Where can one find info related to required firmware updates vs. SB control software versions?
I have a BT-48 Standard, new in 2008, and have updated the control software a number of times since receiving the "crate" but have never updated the firmware or received a message from the control software indicating that an update was required.
The underlining reason for the question is that I have lost the ability to control my HSD spindle via the cut files so am doing it manually. I have just recently got my Bot fully operational again after two major moves in the past three years and aside from updating the control software have not made any other changes to the machine. Prior to the first move in 2009 I did have full control over the spindle via the cut files so this is one of the areas I am investigating.
I use Aspire 3.5 to develop the cut files and have selected the "ShopBot Arc (inch)w/speed(*.sbp)" option when saving these files.
Thanks,
Mike
