Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help, I had a problem with my movement in the Y axis.
it started as a growling noise then the movement just stopped .

I tried changing motors to a new motor and driver .I narrowed it down to the brown wire in a new cable to the motor (after three days ) it seemed to have a break somewhere in the line.

I then tested it the y moved fine was so happy, that I forgot to check that my one x motor was disconnected to its cable . the X moved,it then tripped the reset, then I got a five light flashing on the alarm button.

I reconnected but it still flashes ,I changed the motor cables around still the same thing . I swapped the drivers out I still get it ,it changed to 3 flashes. which I think is over power to the driver ?

If I look at the main board on the pins to the driver there is a alarm reset pin ,and on the board near the driver power input there is a driver reset . does anyone know how to reset the driver ?
I have by passed the cable by putting the motor direct to the driver ,tried a different motor . tried a different driver.

Somewhere on a driver site I am sure I saw that you had to energize pin 21 22 .

Any help would be great here.

1) Check that the rainbow motor connector from the driver to the board is correctly seated for all channels and make SURE that none of them are staggered off a pin - this is not hard to do.

2) Make sure the e-stop didn't get triggered while you were messing about.

3) Take a few pictures and post them of what you have going on there.

Hi Brady , thanks for the help. I ended up having soo many faults it became funny after a while. the driver alarm still puzzles me . I changed drivers and after finding a faulty new cable ,that stopped . I then had a problem with the z only going one way no matter if you gave it a positive or negative value . that came down to a incompatible card ,the one that stands up (the usb card) . I had a new version on a older board . soo its been fun. besides loss to the port every two seconds . I have movement ( i think its the usb to serial adapter on that one )
