I know I've seen one or two posts on here where the z-zero contact switch is used to zero the x and y so hopefully someone will help with out yelling at me to search old threads.
I am working on being able to engrave something and them be able to bring it back weeks later and add to it seemlessly. I figure I can do this by building a jig that has its own zero contacts so no matter where I put it on the table the x and y zero's will always match the jig.
I plan to build the jig and mount alluminum plates to 2 sides (one x and one y), the plates would stick up just pass the actual jig. My hope is to create of find a xyzero routine that uses the contact switch for the z instead of the prox switches. I am in the process of reading the .sbp file for both the xy and z zero routines but it has been a very long time since I have done any code based programming and am having a little trouble "translating" the code.
and help is appreciated
