We made these out of mdf as they will be going inside. We have made 2 so far both are 60" x 18". This is our second attempt at this type of sign with everything pocketed and then each letter and component rounded over and cut out individually before being siliconed onto the finished sign.

Nice sign Tyler. Are the letters painted MDF too or another material. What did you use for paint? Bob

Thanks Bob, yes the letters are mdf as well. I used a .125 Down Spiral bit to cut them out it worked great with no tabs. As far as paint goes, the background was painted with a metalic silver spray paint and the rest was done with Behr exterior enamal paint.

Tyler, Very clean looking sign. I have used MDF as well. How did you take care of the fuzz prior to finishing? Did you prime first?

Terry, i used a paint and primer all in one. i sprayed it on with with a critter spray gun. after the first coat was dry the fuzz sanded right off with minimal effort. Then after one more coat it was ready to go.
