Finally made some dust on the new desktop. Made a MDF spoilboard with a raised edge to help align/square work pieces. I know it's not exciting... but I was super excited to make my first cuts. I also included some pictures of my first "part" and the tests I did with the plotter pen bit.

Well you're on your way to making all kinds of fun stuff. I have a larger table and have a jig basically like yours where i can sit something square in there however mine is a jig that i can remove from the table if i want to put something larger on.
You may want to make a seperate jig for that incase you have an occasion where you need to extend your material past the edge of your table. I have made severqal different jigs for my bot, with my bot...and jigs for other machines like the tablesaw and bandsaw with it.

One of the most important skills I learned when I first started out making fixtures is making a good jig. I quite enjoy "getting jiggy wit' it"...
