Happy holidays everyone. Well, the world didn't end so I'm going to have to go back to work after the first, but I'm trying to get the bot running smooth this weekend.

I'm cutting some signs and ran a test cut in mdf this evening and have a lot of chatter on all the curves. I'm going to try to attach some photos and am asking for setting changes that you might be able to help me with.

PRT 96
New controller
Vexta Steppers
Columbo 5HP

Your comments are always appreciated,

Les

Is this a new file? Did you import the file into your software. I get this type of cut with some files I import as a dwg file, I then need to go and smooth all the nodes to get clean cuts.

Could also be loose pinion gears.

Ron,

I see what you are saying. I imported the text from AutoCAD and deleted some of the lines to get the text I needed for the customer. As I zoom in I see that you are correct.

I'm using VCarve Pro 6.5 and have used the Fit Curves to Vectors and I get better results, but not real smooth.

I'll go out in the AM and test again. I'm assuming that is what you meant by smoothing.

Kurt,

Tolerance is set at 0.01

As always Thanks,

Les
