Can you upload pictures from an iPad? I haven't had any luck so far. Anybody have any advise?

Thanks, Kip

Well, I can't even get to the place where I can choose a photo for some reason.

When I go the manage attachments section, the "choose file" button is inactive.

Do you have privacy settings set on your photos?

Yep would like o know myself!!

As Kip says.....When you go to manage my attachments the button for selecting file on computer (iPad in this case) is blanked out. No restrictions enabled.

So what's the secret?

Kip, the iPhone and iPad should be the same. What iOS version are you running in both?

So in this case with your iPhone, I gather, the 'choose file' button was active?

Frustrating! Running 5.1.1 on both yet the upload is greyed out??? Being motorhomers we are reluctant to go to 6 as you lose Google maps.

Any help from anyone MOST appreciated!

I'm the same Bob...running iOS5 as don't want to lose Google maps....the New maps in iOS6 not as good in my opinion.

I like my iPad but it is annoying not having also Flash capability as many, many web sites use it and also not having USB port is a nuisance!

Might have to look at giving my iPad to the good wife and looking at an android or better still a Win8 tablet:(

Bob, just updated my iPhone to iOS6 as a test and yep you can now attach a pic straight from the camera roll on the phone.....see Test Board.

Guess will have to bite the bullet and update my iPad to iOS6 as well :(. To convenient not to I guess.

Thanks Mike. Think I will leave the iPad for navigation and upgrade one of the phones.

Is the file name of the photo longer than 8.3? iPads, iPhones don't like long names or names like xxx-1234.jpg. They like xxx_1234.jpg.

Bob....I don't use my iPhone for the web....tooooo small for my eyes;). The ipad is the go....I've switched over to iOS6 and works no probs for uploading pics to the forum.

Will.....the files aren't named just default iPad name......nice thing though is that the file is resized automatically to fit for upload....did not have to do anything with the file size:)

Released on the 13th December FREE. Anyone a bit nervous can try it on ios5 before committing to 6. Very slick to use except street view isnt as good. It is a lot harder to walk through a town to getbyour bearings etc. this could be me though as like most modern gear the instructions are minimul.

Iphone test pic. Totally painless but you cant name the pic from within the iPhone.
Thanks to all the helpers!

Believe it or not that does happen to those receiving pics in Thunderbird. After Kips cabinet came out side ways I double checked before hitting submit. I did cheat though Jack and used Apple TV so I could see the screen on the phone. I dont know how kids send texts soooooooo fast!

Reckon using all that glue paid off on your leg job.
