tried a new bit design which was advertised at high feed and clean cut ,well i could have done this violin blank in 2 passes as i went into the slave table about 3/16.
The bit runs cool and does a clean cut sawdust flies

The way that bit is squeeling i would try to speed up the feed rate or slow the rpm down

That's also quite a nasty break-off on the lower left lobe of the violin blank!

that was my fault ,i programmed tabs but they were to small ,and then i went to deep to 1/2 the tab was the slave board under nmy work so the piece moves and i figured thats why the corner got damaged.
Some people are also saying i should have went deeper first cut,its going to take some experiments but it is better than the end mill i was using.

Have you considered "hogging" the blank before cutting it out? You might want/need to finish it via scraping manually and sanding, but I would think it would lead to reduced work hours on a blank....

You might have to use a probe or other source to determine exactly what your profile looks like to determine what you "hog off" and at what stage you leave it before progressing a blank...

Just a thought...

everything went ok ,it was just the tabs ended not being cut and the blank moved a bit ,i am going to do the cut again with a 1/2 same style of bit, these bits really cut
