After 2 1/2 years I finally forgot to remove the grounding clip before starting the spindle. It ripped the wire completely out of the plug. I can't find anyplace in the manual that shows where the wire goes.

I have attached a picture of the plug.

I would appreciate somebody giving me some pointers on where to attach the clip wire.

Thank You

I can't speak for anyone but myself but I have had a two Shopbots over eight years and I have never used the grounding clip. When I got the first Shopbot there was no grounding clip. The 2nd one had a grounding clip and I never bothered with it. I have not had any problems.

You need the grounding clip on the ATC. On my first spindle I didn't need it but on my ATC you do.

Jerome...
The flex wire from the clip goes in the hole with the Green wire. Depress the metal tab shown in the square hole in your pic to allow inserting the wire.

The green was my guess but I wanted to make sure.

Thank You Very Much
