Yaskawa spindle won't run. Just finished power connections to our big Alpha that had been in storage for a few years. Connected it to the PC, software and firmware have been updated; can move the gantry around the board with the keyboard and with a "test" cut file but can't get the spindle to turn on. Tried the spindle warm-up routine without success.
It should be noted that this is one of the earlier Yaskawa spindle and VFD combos that didn't utilize rpm control via the pc, rpm control was done via the control box.
I have pover to the control box and to the VFD, just can't get it to power on.
Feeling stupider than usual at the moment; am I missing something obvious?
BTW we have another Shopbot that I use on a daily basis.
