DANG.... and I just paid to upgrade last year! Now I am going to feel compelled to do it again!!! ( But I will likely hold out for a LITTLE while! I can't afford to just throw out a whole lot of extra dough for some incremental improvements!)

What is the guesstimated cost to upgrade ( if I will be allowed to do a second upgrade vs purchasing a whole set up. I don't know what their guidelines on that look like.)

I believe the cost of the upgrade is $400. Its a little more than incremental upgrades. At the conference there was segment extensions, one line weave and I understand they did more since the conference. They generally have a little upgrade the following year which they normally did not charge for, plus with this upgrade there will be 50 new models included.

I know its over a year but I forgot to thank you for the info on wiring circuit. Your advice on a normal 240 volt 30 Amp stove circuit was absolutely spot on and after a years use the breaker has NEVER tripped. Shopbots specs said 60amp however the stall current was only 21 amps so I reckon they were just being super cautious. Being rural we do have 240/250 though.

Knowing your luck Mike I'll bet you got yours on the 30th August!! We got stung $140 duty on the graphics as they were mailed. If we could have downloaded the graphics there would have been zero duty. Suppose you were hit with this too???

Version 4 will require new codes, and we will be sending emails to all registered Aspire users with details on the upgrade as soon as it is available (we are all typing as quickly as we can here at Vectric )

Hey Bob....I bought mine earlier this year and yes I had to pay GST (for our US friends, GST= goods & services tax @ 10%) + customs fee. Fortunately as I'm registered for GST with my business I can get the GST credited back:)

And yes get Aspire 4 upgrade free :D

Just got the upgrade installed. Well sorta. The license is messed up. All I got was a "contact sales@vectric" etc.

These guys will no doubt get it squared away pretty quick. The download was fast and smooth tho.

I am impressed with the EULA, its written to where its really understandable. Its clean like the Vectric products themselves. Good work somebody.. lead on!

The Vectric site has a list of improvements, and I would like to say "THANK YOU" for several of them I specifically have been wanting!

Now to just get the license thing going so I can try out the new goodies!

I'm really sorry about the licence generation problems with the first set of emails. Everyone who purchased from the original links should now have received their licence codes.

Regarding the license.. don't worry about it. The usual corporate response to such an event is to make more rules and stifle creativity. Vectric thrives on the creativity, and I for one thrive on Vectric. With a big change happening all at once, that is quite forgivable!

Here is a question i have for you. Several years ago I made a laced column and had to fiddle with it for hours in order to line up the basketweave around the back and even then if you looked real close you could see it was off by(maybe a 32nd of inch) acceptable in the end to my eye, but are you having good luck joining the ends together on a round file like that so it looks seamless?:confused:
