An idea to make paint mask easier to deal with.

I had an idea of using a drag knife. it is a pain to find a material you can carve through to make a paint mask on a sign that cuts well. Most of the material tends to not cut clean or needs resealing after you cut it.. I am thinking if you make the letters a couple hundredths larger and run the knife on the protecting film then remove the scrap it should make a nice crisp edge to help with painting. then vcarve after that. that way no mask cutting with a v bit.
