tried z2 clicking, c2, clicking, tried zeroing Z axis...nothing. But each time I tryt it the right hand window goes to all zeros!

Tried turning off and on, changed ports, reloaded firmware, changed to default settings, no movement, no horn.

Jogs fine with arrows, load a file and warning horn comes on, gantry moves. (But no idea where it would end up if I let it follow through)

Com test is fine. Have a very simple boat plaque to do and I am stuck. Any help is apreciated!

my prt didn't z the other day. after checking the forum, I saw where the green light comes on when i'm grounded properly. I had the light come on by touching the frame, so I knew the ground wire was ok. but the bit didn't make the light come on. finally, it dawned on me to move the carriage a little, bingo, the light came on and c2 was fine. so ck the ground light on the screen by touching the frame.
I ck the light first each time I get ready to re zero.

I wish that was it. None move at all. No axis move when I try to zero

No axis should move with any of the Z commands.

If try to do a C2 with plate or C3 with proxy switches, then you need to make sure that the routines each point to (Zzero.sbp & XYZero or XYHome.sbp) are sitting in SBParts and that Custom2 and Custom3 in the custom folder are pointing to each of those SBPs. In other words, it is possible that something got messed up somewhere.

You should be able to move the tool using the keyboard, position it at the bottom left corner and Z2. Then zero the Z with the plate & C2 or manually by lowering the bit gradually to the top of the block.

Without knowing ALL the specs of your machine (what model PRT/drive system) and what version of the software you are running & what you did to break it, it is hard to tell you much else...

Try only typing in commands - no clicking.
