Thomas...
Maybe you need to rephrase your question to "What's the stupidest thing you did today?"

That's too funny Steve. I tried to do that with a monster cast bessy clamp. The bit lost.

Hi Steve,
seen the clamp, studied the cut out for the clamp, looked at the clamp again
and cracked up when i relised what had happened.
Cheers,
Roger.

Hey I like all of you folks but if you insist on posting pictures from my shop I will get upset! :D Lets see the 1/4 down cuts like the cast clamps, and the v bit that was 2 hours into a sign really liked the misplaced wood screw for hold down, and my personal favorite was when completely done with a project, I turned off the DC and the spindle and used the keyboard to move the gantry out of the way, well most of it anyhow the bit was just a little lower than the top of the project and made a very nice and precise diagonal line right across the project!
But where were you camera guys when I needed ya'!
Good thread! Should also be one of those required readings for the newbies! :D Russ

I was thinking more like wild off the wall projects, but this is fun to...

Not crazy, but different for us. We did a large bell shaped cupola a few years ago.
We just cut the parts, the pictures show it assembled in the contractor's shop.

Nat that is very inspirational! I wanted to build a flying saucer for the live steam railroad park but couldn't quite get my mind set on the infrastructure, that last pix gives a real good starting point, thanks. Russ

Thanks Russ, that was a fun one. 99.99% of what we cut are rectangles, so that was a little different.

I am old enough to remember going to the theater on Saturdays and watching Commando Cody - my favorite! The Disney Rocketeer was almost as good though! I like your frisbee craft but seeing his wooden underframe gave me the ideas I needed. Thanks to both of ya' Russ
Jack and Russ , Man ya'll are OLD
