Shopbot Air Drill as Sander

The Buddy BT48x12 that I bought recently came with an air drill package. I've not come across any manual on it so wondering if one if available. Also, because I have no plans to do much drilling, I'm wondering about using it as a CNC controlled sanding head. Is anyone doing this? I don't know what speeds this runs at so will need to determine that first.
